MY WORK

Story is about archetypes, not stereotypes. The archetypal story unearths a universally human experience, then wraps itself inside a unique, culture-specific expression.” - Robert McKee

Those universally human experiences connect us, and they teach us that there is more in this life that unites us than there is that divides us. It’s through storytelling that I seek to bridge those divides and connect the hearts of my audiences. There is no better medium for this work than film.

The forms I practice include fiction screenwriting & directing, documentary, brand storytelling, music, commercial and more. In commissioned work, I prefer to focus on the human element, as I believe that honesty and authenticity is the strongest form of persuasion.

My work has been awarded by the Emmy’s, the National Educational Television Awards, the Telly’s, and many film festivals. I have been a featured artist on NPR’s Tales from the South and multiple publications, including Walton Family Foundation.org. Additionally, I serve as the Vice President of the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce, working for the economic uplift of my community.

Whether I’m working for a client or telling an original story, my focus is the emotional bond I am forming with the audience. I hope each of my works, the big ones and the small ones, leave a mark on my audience.
